About the Role
You will be a member of an incredible, highly motivated and supportive team responsible for critical components of the Arkose ecosystem. The role will involve working on crucial backend components underpinning the system's core. You will develop solutions that operate on some of the world's most prominent websites and apps at an immense scale. The system works at scale and runs on the most critical flows for these brands with the highest SLA requirements. What you'll be doing

• Help build software that spans from the browser all the way down to analytics data pipelines
• Work within an agile team to help build services from requirements to release and maintenance
• Attending planning meetings to produce high-level scenarios and estimates
• Attending and contributing to regular status meetings
• Learn from other highly experienced Engineers

Need to have

• 3+ years experience in a commercial environment using modern programming languages - e.g. Golang, Node.js/JavaScript, Python
• 1+ year experience with cloud computing (AWS services).
• 1+ years experience designing & integrating API's
• 1+ year NoSQL/relational database experience
• 1+ year experience with concurrent/asynchronous programming techniques
• Working knowledge of distributed systems/computing (especially microservices)
• Focus on open source, linux-based software/services and tooling
• Knowledge of web/HTTP concepts and methodologies

Nice to have

• Good knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript - you'll be working across the software stack
• Knowledge + experience with modern JS frameworks/stacks - React, webpack, etc.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with K8s/docker/containers
• Experience with agile development (Scrum/Kanban)
